I think you're right, fb makes it very easy to get too caught up in ourselves. It becomes a contest of who has the most friends and we update our profiles, status, and pictures in hopes that someone will notice and write on our walls. It's a total ego trip. As if facebook weren't enough, Google has come up with "Latitude" which allows our friends to track where we are in real time.
